The latest generation of Audioengine’s iconic desktop audio product adds aptX Adaptive Bluetooth and expanded USB-C playback while keeping the compact design that made the A2+ a longtime favorite.
SHERMAN, Texas – September 22nd, 2026 – Audioengine, the independent, veteran-owned audio company founded in 2005, today announced the A2+ Gen 3 Home Music System, the newest generation of one of the company’s most recognizable products.
The A2+ Gen 3 builds on nearly two decades of A2 development by adding a newly released Qualcomm aptX Adaptive Bluetooth. Bluetooth 5.3 and an industry-leading Bluetooth range of up to 100 feet give listeners a simple way to stream high-quality audio from phones, tablets, computers, and other compatible devices.

aptX Adaptive Joins the A2+ Platform
A2+ Gen 3 adds aptX Adaptive, Qualcomm’s Bluetooth audio technology designed to dynamically adjust transmission based on the audio content and wireless environment.
The system supports: aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and LC3
Bluetooth audio supports up to 24-bit input through compatible aptX codecs, while the internal Qualcomm QCC3040 Bluetooth receiver handles wireless playback.

The A2+ has remained a central part of the Audioengine lineup because it combines high-quality sound, straightforward connectivity, and a compact footprint without requiring apps, accounts, or complicated setup.
The A2+ Gen 3 continues that approach while introducing the most significant amplifier and wireless updates to the platform in its current form.
