Audioengine Announces Relocation of Global Headquarters to Historic Downtown Sherman, Texas!
Sherman, Texas — May 20, 2026
Audioengine, a leading American audio company known for designing high-fidelity Home Music Systems for music lovers, today announced plans to relocate its global headquarters to historic downtown Sherman, Texas. The move represents a major expansion for the company and a long-term commitment to the North Texas community.
The new headquarters will be known as “The ARK” due to its unique turn-of-the-century construction design and will be located at 325 E Lamar Street. It is scheduled to open in June 2026. The new location is substantially larger than Audioengine’s current Sherman location in Progress Park and will consolidate all core operations under one roof.
“This move is about building for the future while staying true to who we are, all while allowing us to invest directly in the community we call home,” said Nate Rodriguez, CEO of Audioengine.
Before relocating to Progress Park in Sherman, TX, over 3 years ago, Audioengine operated with its business headquarters in Austin, Texas, while operationally headquartered in North Carolina as well. The new downtown Sherman headquarters marks the first time in the company’s history that executive leadership, marketing, design, engineering, and global shipping operations will all take place in a single facility. Going forward, all Audioengine products will be designed and engineered in Sherman and shipped worldwide from the same building.
History of the Building
Audioengine is proud to preserve and celebrate the history of the building that will soon serve as its new headquarters in Sherman, Texas. Originally constructed in 1902 for O.T. Lyon & Sons Lumber Company, the structure played an important role in the city’s early commercial growth. O.T. Lyon & Sons supplied building materials throughout Sherman during a period of rapid expansion, later merging into Lyon Gray Lumber and contributing to development across Texas.

The specific facility was built as the company’s Door & Sash Warehouse and stables and later functioned as its primary headquarters. Purpose-built for industrial efficiency, the site included a rail spur running alongside the building and multiple large dock openings designed for fast unloading and distribution. The structure features 16-inch-thick masonry walls and two stories of timber-framed warehouse construction, reflecting the durability and craftsmanship of early twentieth century industrial design.
One of The ARK’s most distinctive architectural elements is the 120-foot-long natural light window system that spans the entire roof ridge. Original clerestory windows line both sides, allowing natural sunlight to illuminate the expansive interior. More than a century later, the building stands as a testament to the strength of Sherman’s industrial heritage, and Audioengine is honored to carry that legacy forward in a space defined by history, craftsmanship, and purpose.
“We admire Audioengine’s vision to preserve everything that makes this building’s interior unique and magical, while thoughtfully updating it to meet modern standards and incorporate the latest technologies. Each contemporary addition is intentionally designed to take a back seat to the raw, exposed brick and timber structure, allowing the historic interior to remain the true star of the show.” Said David Baca, head architect and historic preservation consultant on the ARK.
The building itself is being renovated in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Texas Historical Commission. The project is focused on maintaining the character and history of the property while adapting it for modern use, ensuring an important piece of North Texas heritage remains active and accessible.
“Our goal was never just to build a bigger office,” said Nate Rodriguez, CEO of Audioengine. “We wanted a space that reflects our respect for history, our love of music, and our responsibility to support the local community. Full ownership of this building allows us to do that the right way.”
The new headquarters will also expand Audioengine’s role as a music-focused cultural hub. Building on the company’s “Tune In” branded New Pick initiative, which highlights emerging artists, the facility will include a live performance space designed for local musicians to perform for the community. Plans also call for a dedicated listening room and special events area for music lovers.
Looking ahead, Audioengine intends to host a recurring Music Flea Market featuring records, CDs, and other offerings from local music vendors, further supporting independent sellers and collectors in the region.
“This building is about more than business operations,” added Nate Rodriguez. “It is about creating a place where music, craftsmanship, and community come together in a meaningful way.”
Hear from Leaders of the Community
"We are thrilled that Audioengine has chosen downtown Sherman for their global headquarters. It will be fantastic to have such a great local company in our city’s growing and vibrant heart. And brining a historic structure back to life to house “The Ark” is another tremendous step in our downtown renaissance." Said Sherman Mayor Shawn Teamann.
Additional details, including grand opening events and community programming, will be announced closer to the opening date.

As Seen on TV: Showcasing Excellence
Audioengine was featured in a previous episode of The Price is Right, showcasing the brand’s high quality home music systems. That episode was such a hit, they were invited back to showcase their newest home theater audio system.
In addition to being highlighted on The Price is Right, the brand has also been featured by Google at their request to be in their 2022 Olympics ad campaign stating, “best stereo speakers for vinyl”. This recognition by Google, declaring Audioengine the best stereo speaker for vinyl, further establishes their position as a top choice for home music systems, particularly those passionate about the rich, authentic sound that vinyl offers. It’s yet another testament to their commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences to music listeners worldwide.
Where Art Meets Audio: A National Platform for Superior Sound
The brand has built a reputation for its bold, handcrafted speakers, with real wood cabinets, each undergoing a meticulous 13-step hand-painted process, same as a baby grand piano. Their industry leading, long-range Bluetooth-compatible home music systems have garnered top reviews for offering both wired and wireless flexibility, making them a go-to choice for both serious music lovers and casual listeners alike.
The upcoming appearance on The Price Is Right is an exciting opportunity for the consumer audio company to display its top-tier audio products to a primetime audience. The brand’s commitment to inspiring daily music listening through exceptional sound and design makes them a perfect fit for the show’s iconic prize presentations.
September 26th, tune in to see if one lucky contestant will walk away with the ultimate home audio system!
